Band Challenge: Polish Your Practice
Any music student can blow through a line in the band book...but focused music students pay careful attention to their sound, double-check their fingerings, and use strategies to fix problems.
I challenge all Lead Mine Band students to practice with focus, 15 minutes per day, 5 days per week!
Beginning Band Practice Homework
On your Mayview Tunes 2012 sheet, please count and play Morning Mood, working on getting your eighth notes to the correct speed. Also, please work carefully on page 16 in your book.
Continuing Band Practice Homework
Please practice your Bb, Eb, and Ab concert scales, arpeggios, and thirds. Also, please count and play #136 in your book, and polish up your tone on Morning Mood on your Mayview Tunes 2012 sheet.
